1.To explore the Abrahamic faith (Christian, Jewish and Islamic) perspectives of dying
and death to gain an understanding of end of life requirements and their significance
within the bereavement experience.
2.To uncover the ‘lived experience’ of bereavement following the death of a person in
an acute hospital setting from the perspective of :
